A Three Way Duel at 1.5 Paces With Submachine Guns

This is a world based on a short alternate history I wrote in an attempt to get onto one of AlternateHistoryHub's videos (didn't get in), where the Anglo-Japanese Alliance was renewed in 1920, leaving Japan aligned with the United Kingdom at the start of World War II and consequently on the Allied side. This let Japan have a much freer hand in what it did in East Asia, although of course their alignment with the United Kingdom and the West as a whole didn't last. After the war, Japan and the west split not long after the USSR split, which wasn't too much of an issue, until Japan detonated nuclear weapons in 1955.

So now you have three massive power blocks (NATO, the Warsaw Pact, and the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, the latter often just called the "Tokyo Sphere" for simplicity), all of them desperate to avoid war, all of them wanting the other two gone, and far too many possible points of contention for comfort.
